Hi! My name is Erin McGinnis and I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. I have lived on four continents and have always enjoyed capturing images of people and places from all over this amazing world! A self-taught photographer, I would define much of my style as “off the beaten path” because I have always loved finding those hidden treasures in the less explored areas of some of the most famous places on Earth. 

When life took an unexpected turn several years ago and I found myself a single mother of three daughters, traveling the globe became difficult, but my love for photography remained true. These days, one of my greatest joys is in catching family memories of peace and love through the lens of my camera. Often times, when I look at a picture I’ve taken, I don’t remember the image as much as the memory of joy in that moment. Distant Cloud Photography is my little reminder that even the most terrifying of storms will eventually become no more than a distant cloud. Fear is gone and what remains is faith, hope, and love!
